Charles Francis "Soccer" Coe (1890-1955)

Mr. Coe, the founder of the firm, was clearly a renaissance man.  He never finished high school or attended college and joined the navy at a young age.  While he was in the navy, he learned he had a passion for words.  This passion led him to be a chief contributor to the "Saturday Evening Post" and later opening an Ad agency in New York City.  In the 1930's Mr. Coe was the highest paid director in Hollywood.  Mr. Coe authored many books and produced a number of full length movies. Always wanting to practice law. Mr. Coe moved to Florida; and, while working during the day, he studied the law with a variety of young attorneys at night before taking the Florida Bar Exam. After passing the Bar Exam and forming the law firm Mr. Coe also became the Editor of the Palm Beach Post Times newspaper.

 

Gustave T. Broberg, Jr. (1920-2001)

Mr. Broberg was born in Manchester, New Hampshire and grew up in Torrington, Connecticut.  While attending Dartmouth College, Mr. Broberg was named First Team All American three consecutive years for basketball.  Later he was elected to the New England Basketball Hall Of Fame.  After Dartmouth, Mr. Broberg received a Masters degree from Syracuse University; then joined the Marines where he flew Corsair F4-Us in the battle of Okinawa.  After WWII, Mr. Broberg attended University of Virginia Law School, then passed the Florida Bar Exam.  After partnering with Mr. Coe in 1948 Mr. Broberg was elected Municipal Judge for the Town of Palm Beach and remained in that position for 22 years while concurrently practicing law.

 

Peter S. Broberg

Peter Broberg was born and grew up in Palm Beach, Florida.  After attending Palm Beach High School, Peter attended Dartmouth College where he played on the last Ivy League Baseball team to date to play in the College World Series.  After Peter's junior year, he signed to play professional baseball with the Washington Senators and played Major League Baseball thereafter for nine years.  Peter graduated from Dartmouth while playing professional baseball, then attended Nova Southeastern Law School where he was on the Law Review and was published in the Nova Law Journal.

After graduating law school, Peter joined the Firm.  Besides practicing law Peter has been a Director of the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce; was the Chairman of the Palm Beach Recreational Commission; was a member of the Palm Beach Board of Adjustments & Appeals; was a member of the Palm Beach Planning & Zoning Commission; was a member of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission and has been inducted into the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame.
